The Bar and Eating
“A Voice to the Curious”
We’re told our little pub with a massive garden is like a homely house; a table is yours for the evening. We’d like to think we are the relaxed, casual type, while underneath, we are informative and deadly serious about our offer. The cooking of the menu is of the old Religion with a French classical accent and comes with heaps of emotion while offering well-sourced ingredients, mostly from France and some of the UK’s finest independent food suppliers. High-welfare meat and sustainable fish from the British Isles are king here, ensuring decent plates of food.
Wine and Beer are a continuous load of joy to Poppy and Dan, our Managers. Our list is small and without the usual suspects. If you wish, we have a haggle board loaded with bottles that have a bit of age, peculiarity and some weight. Tankards of clean, frothy beer of varied order are on the pumps for those Ale lovers.
Our Tiny Bar: Please, no pushchairs or children under 0 (zero) years old, as we are a tiny space. There is no children’s menu; the garden is massive, and all are quietly welcome there, even the dogs! I love them, those dogs!
